Preparations for 2024 Miao Hui in full swing

PREPARATIONS for the 25th Miao Hui celebration in George Town’s heritage enclave, scheduled for Feb 18 next year and coinciding with the ninth day of the Chinese lunar calendar, are already in full swing.

Despite the event being four months away, the organisers are actively recruiting volunteers to ensure the success of this annual celebration.

The 2024 Miao Hui, themed ‘Our Story,’ is being hosted by the Penang Chinese Clan Council (PCCC) and the Penang Cultural Inheritors Society (Inheritors).

Insights gathered by Buletin Mutiara from the organisers suggest that next year’s event promises to be truly captivating.

The younger generation can equipped themselves with knowledge of the event

In the Year of the Dragon, 2024, a paper-cut dragon known as ‘Chen Chen’ is expected to add an enchanting element to the occasion.

The Miao Hui celebration not only showcases Penang’s rich cultural heritage but also serves as an exciting attraction for the younger generation.
