“I hope the Government, especially the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, will take extra effort to raise awareness of this virus.

“It’s airborne now and the Government and authorities need to educate the public on the safety measures to be taken and to stay vigilant during this pandemic,” he told reporters after inspecting the vaccination centre (PPV) in Bayan Baru Market today.

During the visit, the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry in the Pakatan Harapan administration also suggested a few areas for improvement.

The PPV centre can accommodate 800 people for its daily capacity.

Meanwhile, Sim said another vaccine recipient, who had already been fully vaccinated, has won RM1,000 this month in the monthly lucky draw that is open to the Bayan Baru constituents.

“It is to encouraged them to get two jabs of vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP),” he said.
