TO celebrate its 44th anniversary, the Senior Citizens Association Penang hosted a memorable dinner at M Social Resort Penang in Tanjong Bunga recently.
In a statement, the association said that the 44th Anniversary Dinner and Dance, held on Dec 6, brought together members, guests, and supporters for an evening filled with fellowship, entertainment, and a shared appreciation for the association’s longstanding commitment to the well-being of senior citizens in the state.

The celebration was graced by Madam Tan Lean Kee, wife of Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and president of Pertubuhan Wanita Mutiara Pulau Pinang (PWMPP).

Also present were Penang Social Development, Welfare and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Lim Siew Khim, Senior Citizens Association Penang patron Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Yusoff Latiff, and special officer to Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid, Mohamad Firdaus Danial Anuar.
According to the organisers, the event received overwhelming support from members, resulting in a lively and vibrant turnout.
The ballroom was filled with warmth and camaraderie as old friends reunited and new connections were made.
The joyful atmosphere throughout the evening reflected the strong sense of unity within the association.
Guests were also treated to energetic performances by a talented team of line dancers, who kept the crowd entertained throughout the night.
Many members enthusiastically joined in on the dance floor, showcasing their moves and immersing themselves in the upbeat music.
