NINE talented youths in Penang took the opportunity to showcase their talents in various genres during the Open Mic 3.0 held at 1st Avenue Mall recently.
Open Mic is an initiative under Youth With Rhythm (YWR) that aims to provide a platform for youth to perform and build their confidence in front of the crowd.
In the event on April 30, the performers took to the stage and mesmerised the crowd with their amazing talents like beatboxing, keyboard playing and wonderful vocals.
For their energetic performance, the participants received an enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng and Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling were present to witness the event.
They also handed out certificates of participation to the youths.
The performers were Kwoh Dong, Molika, Joanne, Chloe, Cindy, Afiq, Akmal @ Shanks, Skillzow and Syazwani.
This was the third Open Mic event held by PYDC.
