IN a continuous effort to enhance educational facilities for students with special needs, UDA Land Sdn Bhd has donated five computers worth RM12,500 to SK Sungai Dua’s Special Integration Education Programme.
The contribution, made in collaboration with the Penang Education Department and the North Seberang Perai District Education Office, is aimed at supporting students with various learning disabilities, such as Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, and dyslexia
Deputy Chief Minister I Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Abdul Hamid said the initiative is part of a broader mission to improve access to quality education for students with special needs.

“The Special Integration Education Programme, which has been running since 1992, plays a vital role in supporting children with different learning challenges, such as Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. This donation will enhance the teaching and learning experience by equipping the students with better access to digital tools,” he said during the handover ceremony.
He added that the computers were donated through zakat allocation, as part of UDA Land’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to support those in need.
“This support reflects Penang’s commitment under the Penang2030 vision to build a more inclusive and equitable society, where all students — including those with special needs — have the opportunity to thrive,” Mohamad said.
“The Penang government also demonstrated its commitment to education with a RM30,000 cheque for SK Sungai Dua, supporting improvements to the school’s facilities and student welfare.
“This donation aligns with Penang’s broader educational and social goals under the Penang2030 vision, ensuring that all members of society, especially those with special needs, benefit from inclusive and equitable development,” he said.
