“This repainting project has truly breathed new life into our school environment.

“With its fresh coat of paint, SK Wellesley now stands more vibrant and welcoming, admired by the surrounding community.

“The contribution also came at a meaningful time, complementing our 100th anniversary celebration last year. It reflects YB Lim’s unwavering commitment to education and the well-being of our students,” he said.

Saravanan also extended his gratitude to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for its continued support through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

“Among the contributions were solar panels for the school’s hydroponics system, upgrades to its fish pond, and new hockey equipment amounting to a total value of RM22,919.

“These contributions play a vital role in promoting sustainability within the school while nurturing students’ awareness of green technology, environmental stewardship, and sports development,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lim congratulated the school on reaching its historic 100-year milestone last year, describing it as a proud testament to enduring excellence.

“The centenary celebration was not just a milestone, but a recognition of a legacy that has shaped generations.

“It proves that with strong commitment and close collaboration between the school, parents, community, and alumni, we can nurture capable and competitive future leaders.

“That is the true strength we must continue to preserve and strengthen. Even small efforts like this repainting project, when combined with dedication and community support, can create a lasting impact on future generations,” she said.

Following the ceremony, Lim proceeded to visit the Northeast District Education Office located nearby, where she officiated the opening of the modern Mutiara Gemilang meeting room and a newly constructed school management counter.

“Education is the most important investment in our nation’s future. To ensure the system runs efficiently, we must also provide conducive and effective administrative infrastructure.

“To this end, I have allocated RM220,000 for the construction of this modern meeting facility, along with RM22,000 for the school management counter, aimed at enhancing service delivery for educators and the community,” she said.
