Spread the message of hope, Chow tells voters

WILL it be a new day for Malaysia tomorrow?

After two weeks of campaign, Pakatan Harapan’s final message to voters was ‘to spread the message of hope to others’.

Penang Pakatan Harapan chairman Chow Kon Yeow, in his powerful and meaningful speech, said the crucial day to determine the fate of the country is tomorrow (Nov 19).

“Help us to spread the message of hope (Harapan).

“And let us save Malaysia with our votes tomorrow (Nov 19).

“Remember, as voters, we are the ones to decide the future of our children and Malaysia.

“We do not know what the election result will be tomorrow, or if Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional may decide to work together once again just to stay in power.

“Just remember that the impact or consequences of your decision may last even longer than five years. Maybe 10 or even 20 years,” he said.

Chow said that the general election is not just about Harapan.

“What is the purpose of the election without the voters? So, come out and vote. Decide your future, the future of our children and our country.

“Make sure we vote for a Federal Government that can care for the people and that is good for the country.

“We can do it tomorrow, can we?” Chow questioned during the ceramah in Bayan Baru.

A strong crowd at the ceramah gave a resounding ‘YES’.

Chow also appealed to the voters to ensure the voter turnout is high.

“We have created history in 2018, can we re-create history?” he asked.

“YES!” the crowd gave another reassuring response.

Chow said winning 90 to 100 parliamentary seats out of 222 seats would not be enough to save Malaysia.

“We need all the support that we can get.

“There are many seats with multi-cornered fights. Do not split your votes.

“Vote for Harapan (hope),” he said.

Meanwhile, Jelutong candidate R.S.N. Rayer stressed the importance of good character in an elected representative.

“We want the people’s representative to have good principles – honest, integrity, and able to speak for the people.

“We want a representative that is vocal in parliament. Come out in big numbers and vote for Harapan with a clear mind.

“We must not be overconfident,” he said.

Earlier, Chow in another ceramah at Dataran Pemuda Merdeka in Butterworth, urged the voters to come out in full force to vote to determine the future of Malaysia.

“Every vote is important to ensure that Pakatan Harapan can win as many parliamentary seats as possible to form the Federal Government,” he said.

Meanwhile, thousands of people thronged the mega ceramah at Karpal Singh Drive here to show their support for Pakatan Harapan.

Chow said it is time for the rakyat to re-create history.

“We definitely cannot allow our future to be compromised.

“This is the most critical part of our lives now. Let us come together and make Malaysia great again,” Chow said.
