槟州首席部长曹观友强调，在中央与州政府税收共享制度尚未制度化前，州政府必须继续发声，争取更合理的中央税收分配机制，以确保各州拥有足够资源持续发展。 他说，目前已有多个州属因面对收入来源有限的问题，向中央政府提出税收共享建议，希望中央政府可依据能力及协商结果，与州政府共享20%、25%、30%，甚至40%的税收收入。
