Taiwanese company lends a helping hand

A TAIWANESE manufacturing company that is based in Penang, Inventec Appliances (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, has stepped forward to contribute medical equipment to the Penang government today.

 

Inventec Appliances managing director Wayne Lee said the medical equipment, worth RM60,000 were part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to give back to the community during these trying times.

“The donated medical equipment include 610 isolation gowns, 400 face shields, 130 pulse oximeters and eight units of oxygen concentrator.

 

“We hope that our contribution can be ease the burden of our medical frontliners in Penang,” Lee said during the handover ceremony today.

 

State Welfare and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh, who represented the Penang government, thanked the company for its noble effort to assist the healthcare personnel in the fight against Covid-19.

 

“The donation today will be given to the PgCare Alliance to be distributed to the needy hospitals to help medical frontliners in the state,” he added.
