Tech company lends a helping hand

THE Esquire Tech Group has come forward to donate 20,000 face masks to the Penang government today.

 

Esquire Tech Group founder and chairman Stephen Khaw Swee Aun said the total value of the donated items was RM30,000.

 

“It is part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by contributing to the state.

 

“And we hope with such donation, we will be able to assist the state government in their battle to overcome the brutal effects of the Covid-19 pandemic,” Khaw said during the handover ceremony at Komtar today.

 

Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng, who received the face masks on behalf of the Penang government, thanked the company for its valuable assistance during these trying times.

 

“The face masks received today will be distributed to the frontliners and also to all 40 assemblymen’s service centres.

 

“Although the number of Covid-19 cases is not that high nowadays, it is still compulsory for us to wear a face mask and follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he said.
