ARE you an ardent fan of Tik Tok? Then, come and show your creativity by taking part in the ‘Lepak Georgetown Tik Tok Challenge’ organised by event and space management company, SPACELEY.
The Tik Tok challenge is also co-organised by Pertubuhan Kesederan Komuniti Tanjong Pulau Pinang (PKKT) with the support of office of Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng.
According to Teh, youngsters can utilise the Tik Tok app in a beneficial way by filming creatively some of the interesting places in the George Town area.
“We want to encourage young people to use their creativity to showcase the uniqueness and beauty of George Town.
“For instance, tourist attractions such as Penang Street Art and heritage buildings located in the UNESCO enclave can be filmed.
“They can also explore The Top Penang which is one of the popular places in George Town,’’ said Teh during a press conference today at The Top Penang.
Teh said the Tik Tok challenge would indirectly promote places of interest in Penang and help to revive the domestic tourism industry.
SPACELEY founder Adrian Kwan, who was also present, said the participants stand a chance to win the entry tickets to the The Top Penang.
“The prizes will be given under two categories; the first one is the Most Favourite Video TikToker in which the winner is entitled to The Top Penang entry tickets worth RM600.
“The second category is the Most Creative Video TikToker, and the winner will be awarded with entry tickets worth RM400.
“On top of that, five consolation prizes worth RM80 (The Top Penang entry ticket) will be given away. And all the winners will receive an e-certificate each,’’ said Kwan.
Kwan said all entries must be submitted by Jan 3, 2021 and the winners would be announced on Jan 15.
