NON-GOVERNMENTAL organisation Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society Malaysia continues to provide the necessary aid to the community here, in view of the rising Covid-19 cases.

The society in Penang has contributed 10,000 face masks and 3,000 gloves to the Penang Fire and Rescue Department to protect the frontliners from the Covid-19 infection.

Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society Malaysia in Penang has also donated five units of desktops and 10,000 face masks to the Persatuan Penganut Dewa Arulmigu Om Sakthi Muniswarar community centre yesterday (Feb 21).

When contacted, the society’s commissioner in Penang, Datuk Khoo Boo Leong, said the society is playing its role to support the frontliners during this challenging period.

“We are also doing our best to help the Persatuan Penganut Dewa Arulmigu Om Sakthi Muniswarar community centre which has about 13 underprivileged children,” he said.
