Virtual exhibition for women centric products producers and ladypreneurs

THE Penang Halal International (PHI) will be organising a virtual exhibition for women entrepreneurs known as ‘International Inspirasi Khadijah 2020’ in December.

 

PHI chief executive officer Aida Lim Abdullah said the exhibition’s objective is to support entrepreneurship development for cross border e-commerce.

 

“The platform aims to promote and connect ladyprenuers and business operators with women centric products and services for cross border market.

 

“The exhibition also sets to connect virtually with some of the world’s wholesale fashion, women centric products marketplaces, global retailers, buyers and fashion decision makers with emerging and independent brands from Malaysia and across the region.

 

“So, it will be an interactive online event that brings together a group of people with similar interests or expertise so that they can learn from one another.

 

“However, male entrepreneurs are also allowed to join as long as they can showcase their women centric products or services.

 

“The event will go live on Dec 18 until Dec 20 and it will be online for a month. Meanwhile, the soft launch will be on Nov 19 in conjunction with Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED).

 

“Interested merchants can register via QR code provided,” Aida told Buletin Mutiara during a brief interview session in Komtar yesterday.

According to Aida, she expected about 80 companies to take part in the virtual exhibition.

 

 

“And we expect more than 1,000 public and trade visitors during the three-day online event.

 

“Thus, we hope the virtual platform will get an encouraging response from the public and the merchants as they can communicate their products, services, activities and establish their products around the world from the safety and comfort of their home or office,” she added.

 

Aida said there are two types of exhibitor packages for merchants who are interested to take part.

 

“The standard package costs RM1,280 (US$500) and the classic package costs RM2,880 (US$800).

 

“The standard package comes with a company name on the booth, business-to-business (B2B) user access / business-to-consumer (B2C) purchases, product catalogue and live chat.

 

“Meanwhile, the classic package comes with a live streaming or pre-record video slot, video display, company name on the booth, B2B user access / B2C purchases, product catalogue and live chat,” she said.
