CHRISTMAS at the YWCA Penang is about sharing the true meaning of Christmas with the underprivileged. Hundreds of senior citizens and children from several homes were entertained with songs and dances during the YWCA annual Christmas Party on Dec 6.
The YWCA runs a kindergarten and provide free education, meals and uniforms to the underprivileged children of all races and religions. In his speech, exco member Chow Kon Yeow calls on corporations to come forward to help the YWCA by donating cash or in kind or sponsor some children for free education.
Children dressed up as angels and kings entertained the guests at the the party hosted by YWCA Chairperson Datuk Dr. Marina David. A clown and Santa Claus made the party memorable for the old and young. Despite of their age, the guests from senior citizen homes had a wonderful time as they were seen clapping along as Christmas hymns were sung.
