AN allocation of RM100,000 for youth organisations in Penang is now available for applications.

State Youth, Sports and Health Committee chairman Daniel Gooi said this was the initiative under his office that can be applied by youth organisations registered under the Registrar of Youth Office or the youth wing organisations registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS) (except political parties).

“The Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) is appointed as the secretariat for the applications.

“We hope this Youth Development Fund can assist the welfare of the organisations,” he said during a press conference.

Gooi said the deadline for the submission is March 31 and the fund is open to Penang residents aged 15 to 40.

PYDC general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling encourages eligible youth organisations to apply.
