Application for Ramadan bazaar business licences

WITH Ramadan just around the corner, individuals and organisations can now apply for “Temporary Seasonal Stall Licence” which is open until May 15.

Penang Island City Council (MBPP) councillor Ahmad Azrizal Tahir (pix) announced this at a press conference on April 9 at the MBPP Licensing Department at Padang Kota Lama.

 

 

“The operation hours for Ramadan stalls are from 4pm to 8pm and those who wish to hold night bazaars should also get the approval from the council.

“We prohibit the use of polystyrene as well as do not allow traders who are foreigners,” said Azrizal.

Application forms can be obtained from:

i) MBPP Licensing Department, City Hall, Padang Kota Lama

ii) MPPP office at Kompleks Pasar Awam, Balik Pulau

iii) MPPP information counter at Komtar.

Application forms can only be submitted to the Licensing Department Office, City Hall, Padang Kota Lama.

 

 

 

TO BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION

i) Approval letter from landowner (if any);

ii) Parking receipts payment (if involved with the council car park space);

iii) Complete location plan;

iv) Copy of applicant’s/ dealer’s identity card;

v) Copy of anti-typhoid injection book;

vi) Number of sites for food and general merchandise sale
