BOULDER Valley Glamping Penang today achieved a remarkable milestone after becoming the first glamping resort in the country to receive a 3-star rating from the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (MOTAC).

The resort received the rating under the ‘Innovative Hotel / Resort’ category.

The MOTAC Licencing and Enforcement Division secretary Roslan Mohammad congratulated Boulder Valley Glamping Penang for its success.

“It’s not easy to get a 3-star rating from us as we emphasise on the resort’s safety, the food, the environment and the welfare of staff.

“This 3-star rating will ensure the resort strives further to attain more accolades in the future. Glamping is now considered to be a favourite for holiday-makers in the country.

“So far, 119 hotels have been graded by us. And these hotels were out of 304 hotels which have been registered with us.

“The hotel industry provides a boost to domestic tourism, and this recognition will also spur local tourism in Penang,” he said after attending the event at Boulder Valley Glamping Penang in Teluk Bahang.
