CITADINES Connect Bertam Georgetown Penang has been recognised as the “Leading New Urban Lifestyle Hotel of the Year” at the Asian Tourism & Hospitality Awards 2025–2026.
The award was presented during the official ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur on May 14, which gathered hospitality and tourism industry players from across Asia.
Organised by TIN Media, the awards saw more than 250 nominees from nine Asian countries recognised for achievements in hospitality, tourism innovation, service excellence and destination experiences.
Owner representative David Yip said the recognition reflected the hotel’s vision of redefining urban hospitality in Malaysia.

Earlier this month, the unveiling of the top 12 finalists for Miss Heritage Global Malaysia 2026 took place at Citadines Connect Bertam Georgetown Penang in the presence of state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai.
The event marked a significant moment celebrating cultural heritage and national identity while highlighting Penang’s role as a platform for tourism and cultural initiatives.
