THE Penang DAP parliamentary candidates for the 15th General Election (GE15) will be revealed at Karpal Singh Drive on Sunday (Oct 30).
State DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow said party secretary-general Anthony Loke would be there to announce the list of candidates during the Harapan Convoy at 9am.
“Candidates’ names have already been submitted to the party’s central executive committee (CEC) and they will select the suitable ones.
“There will be wajah baru (new face or faces), don’t worry,” responded the Penang Chief Minister when asked by reporters whether there would be fresh faces for the parliamentary seats in Penang.
Chow was speaking after attending the certificate presentation of the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for ‘Most Wing Chun Performance by Individual’ at Phoenix Asia Rebirth Campus in Chulia Street Ghaut today.
When asked by a reporter about speculation of him contesting in Batu Kawan parliamentary, Chow, who is the incumbent Tanjong MP, did not divulge further.
