CHIEF Minister Chow Kon Yeow took a jibe at Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir over the latter’s remarks that it was hard for him to juggle his responsibility if he wins the Batu Kawan parliamentary seat on Nov 19.
In a quick response, Chow told Musa not to worry so much about him.
“I am prepared to take up the challenge.
“Besides providing my services to the people, I will also be supported by the state assemblymen within the Batu Kawan parliamentary constituency.
“The members of the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) are also ever-ready to provide their services to the rakyat.
“(His concerns) won’t be an issue,” he replied to reporters after being asked about Musa’s statement that it would be tough for Chow, who is also the Padang Kota assemblyman to rush to Batu Kawan parliamentary constituency if there is a flood.
Chow and his team visited Ang Sun Kong Temple in Bukit Tengah today.
They toured the temple, accompanied by the temple committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Tan Seng Suo.
Chow and his entourage spent about 20mins before visiting Fresh Food Court and Bukit Tengah Coffeeshop.
There, he continued to engage the people.
Chow said today marks the third day of the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign period.
“We have received such a positive response from the people during our visit to the areas in Bukit Tengah which fall under the Batu Kawan parliamentary constituency.
“We were warmly welcomed by the constituents here. We are hopeful that the momentum will continue until polling day.
“We understand that some people are still disappointed with the ‘Sheraton Move’ that has caused political instability in the country.
“I can understand the disappointment but first, let us put the unpleasant episode to rest and take this golden opportunity to vote for a change.
“Let us vote for a better future through this GE15,” he said.
