AS much as eating delicious delicacies is everyone’s desire, what could possibly put the icing on the cake is dining at a place that not only arouses your taste buds but somewhere that eases the soul, allowing us to unwind and granting maximum relaxation.

If you wish to be in such a setting, then Double Spoon is your go-to place.

Located in Tanjung Bungah, Double Spoon offers not only some of the best western delights in town but a setting like no other restaurant.

It is surrounded by different types of plants and flowers, offering customers a chance to dine with a relaxed mind and soul.

It’s all about greenery at Double Spoon.

During an interview with Buletin Mutiara today, its owner Elizabeth Chin Kim Foong, said that food is another language of love that is best experienced in the company of nature.

“I have always believed in working together with nature.

“To me, nature is the only thing that is real, and imagine heading down here after a tiring day at work and having your favourite cup of coffee with a plate of pasta.

“That moment of satisfaction is priceless, and for me, as a restaurant owner, to witness my customers enjoying their meals gives me an ultimate sense of fulfilment.

“Food is my way of fulfilling and meeting the needs of the people.

“What’s even better is that when you have staff who are equally passionate about this business, and when you are passionate about something, you will give nothing less than your very best shot at everything you do.

“I have ten amazing part-timers who work at the front counter and one extremely talented cook who is really good at the kitchen.

“I always tell them to be humble when serving customers and practise a good sense of humility when on duty.

“Humbleness is key to surviving in the service industry,” Chin said during the interview.

She is also an insurance agent and has been in the business for 30 years now.

Some of the western delights that can be found there include chicken chop, lamb shank, fish burger, mushroom soup, lamb soup, milkshake and many others.

The restaurant, which was officially opened in September 2019, is open every day except Monday, and its operating hours are from 12pm to 10pm.
