THE dredging works of an estuary near the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR) is now completed.
Bagan Jermal assemblyman Soon Lip Chee said the dredging works only took three days to be completed from Nov 30 until today (Dec 2).
“The RM19,500 project is aimed at solving the flood woes issue in Bagan Jermal.
“This is mainly because the siltation of this estuary has blocked the waterway that is supposed to flow out to the sea.
“I am glad that the issue has now been solved with the completion of this dredging works,” said Soon, who is also the state Youth and Sports Committee chairman, during his visit today.
Soon also commended the contractor responsible for the project, PME Material & Construction Sdn Bhd, for getting it done within schedule.
