Thanks to the collaboration between domestic airliner AirAsia and Penang Global Tourism (PGT), unmissable special promotions await all domestic tourists.

Starting tomorrow till Dec 27, interested travellers could look forward to booking their stay in Penang with attractive packages of three-day/two-night stay at three to four star hotels from as low as RM49/pax, inclusive of return flight.

Those who prefer a luxurious stay at four to five star hotels could enjoy an affordable deal from RM179/pax inclusive of three-day/two-night stay and return flight. The bookings are available on airasia.com and the super app for travel period from Jan 4 to March 31, 2021.

State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin was pleased to announce the collaboration effort between PGT and AirAsia.

He said it features great flights and hotel combos, covering more than 25 hotels.

“We are confident that with PGT’s collaboration with AirAsia, Penang’s tourism industry will be boosted.

“It is part of the state’s tourism recovery plan to revive the tourism industry and in support of the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia initiative.

Yeoh speaking to reporters during a press conference in Komtar.

“We are observing a positive rebound on tourism activities and we are now working towards the recovery of the tourism sector.

“The partnership with key travel players such as airasia.com will assist us to amplify our efforts and to offer more diverse travel and tourism products.

“We are committed to putting all safety measures in place while reviving Penang’s travel industry,” he told a press conference in Komtar today.

The four to five star hotels are Brown Hotel, Mei Hotel Penang and Sunway Seberang Jaya while luxury hotels are The Prestige Hotel Penang, Golden Sands by Shangri-La and Hard Rock Hotel.

Yeoh added that more travellers could grab this rare opportunity to book the flights and enjoy the stay at Penang.

AirAsia Regional Commercial head Tan Mai Yin was delighted to join hands with PGT to revive tourism.

She said visitors to Penang could now plan their trip with all these exciting offers.

Tan is glad with the partnership with PGT.

“We hope more people will grab this opportunity to explore and enjoy more of what Penang has to offer,” she said.
