Johor election results: Political scenario changed, says Chow

PAKATAN Harapan, especially the DAP, has entered the recent Johor state election knowing that it would be very challenging, Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said.

Chow, who is also the Penang DAP chairman, said the political scenario in the country had changed and DAP had targeted to win between six and 10 state seats in Johor.

“We understood the challenges for the party to win all 14 Johor state seats which were contested by DAP.

“Although DAP did not win all 14 seats contested, the party met its target of winning 10 state seats with the current political scenario,” Chow replied to a question by the media after launching the Nuclear Medicine Centre at Penang Adventist Hospital today.

Chow said that the Johor state election results were just the beginning.

“We hope to continue our political struggle in Johor and other states.

“The party machinery, especially in states that have not undergone the state election, must be ever-ready.

“The scenario is different from before and the state election can be held at any state that has yet to hold it,” he added.
