The Children’s Cancer Charity Run/Walk 2.0 will take place on May 17 at Padang Kota Lama, aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle while raising funds for children battling cancer.
The event, which will flag off at 7.30am, is open to participants of all ages and backgrounds.
Organisers are offering promotional registration fees of RM36 for short-sleeve jerseys, RM41 for long-sleeve jerseys and RM46 for Muslimah attire. Participants will receive an exclusive jersey, breakfast, a medal and a certificate upon completion.
Held in support of Friend of Childhood Cancer (FOCCAN), a portion of the proceeds will be channelled towards assisting children undergoing cancer treatment.
Chairman of Stay Fit Sunnah Sports Club, Ahmed Faisal Mohd Lazim, said the programme combines community fitness with charitable giving.
“This event is not just about running or walking, but about coming together as a community to support children who are fighting cancer. We hope to raise awareness and encourage more people to contribute in meaningful ways,” he said.
He added that such initiatives reflect the spirit of compassion and social responsibility, encouraging the public to stay active while giving back to those in need.
Members of the public are encouraged to sign up early to enjoy the promotional rates before registration closes on April 30.
