Making Penang a famous education hub

PENANG remains an ideal destination choice for local and international students to pursue their education.

 

This was evident after Phoenix Asia Academy of Technology opened its Phoenix Asia Rebirth Campus in Gat Lebuh Chulia today.

 

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who was present to officiate the event, was pleased with Phoenix Asia’s initiative to lift education levels to greater heights.

 

“We always support human capital investment through education as we view education as one of the important ‘fuels’ for success.

“Phoenix Asia’s vision is to build and shape up international education and education learning technologies. They pave the way for the Group to expand its portfolio to include Metaverse Technology.

 

“We need a good flow of quality human capital to propel the state forward.

 

“Let us make a toast to a long-lasting working relationship with Phoenix Asia as we reach for greater heights to be an education hub for local and international students,” he said in his speech before officiating the campus in Gat Lebuh Chulia this evening.

 

Phoenix Asia was founded in 2017 and is a pioneer of educational investments organisation in International Education Development, International Student Services and Educational Technology.

 

Phoenix Asia’s president Kenneth Phoenix Quah was happy that the campus was successfully established.

 

“We aimed at turning Penang into a famous education hub,” he said.

 

Also present were state Social Development and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Chong Eng, state Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee, Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng, Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Daniel Gooi, Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim,
Chinese Consul-General to Penang Lu Shiwei, Consul-General at the Royal Consulate General of Thailand in Penang Raschada Jiwalai, Phoenix Asia International Education Advisory Panel chairman Datuk Nazarudin Abdul Jalil, and Kwong Wah Yit Poh general manager Lee Hin Chan.
