New Marrybrown outlet at Penang Hill to boost tourism

THE latest Marrybrown’s franchise outlet in the Lower Station of Penang Hill held its official opening today, an addition that is bound to further spur domestic tourism in the state.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said he was proud to witness the opening of the new outlet at one of the most-visited attractions in Penang.

“The Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) has done a remarkable effort in utilising the business spaces at the Lower Station by bringing in Marrybrown.

“The new addition of Marrybrown’s outlet is welcome as people from all walks of life can enjoy a perfect dining experience in a nice ambient.

“It is truly a proud moment when we get to witness a homegrown brand soar to greater heights, through this opening.

“Welcome Marrybrown to Penang Hill,” he said in his speech during the outlet’s opening ceremony at the Lower Station of Penang Hill today.

Chow thanked the Only World Group (OWG) for operating the outlet in Penang Hill.

“I am honoured to see the partnership between OWG and Marrybrown.

“We hope the locals and tourists can have a wonderful experience when visiting Penang Hill,” he said.

 

Also present were Bukit Bendera MP Wong Hon Wai, Air Putih assemblyman Lim Guan Eng, Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng, Senator Lim Hui Ying, OWG chief executive officer Tan Sri Richard Koh, OWG chief operating officer Puan Sri Jean Koh, Marrybrown chairman Datuk Lawrence Liew and Marrybrown managing director and founder Datin Nancy Liew.
