PENANG and Thailand are looking forward to strengthening their ties following the visit of the kingdom’s Tourism and Sports Minister to the state today.

State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin lauded Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn’s visit accompanied by a group of delegations.

“Thailand is one of the places that is famous for its tourism sector and we hope to work together to lift the sector on both sides during this post-pandemic era.

“We have strong ties with Thailand. It is among the top 10 countries in terms of the number of tourists to Penang.
