THE excitement of dragon boat racing will return to the shores of Tanjung Bungah as the Penang CSC Dragon Boat Festival 2026 is slated to take place at the Chinese Swimming Club Penang tomorrow (June 14) from 3pm.
Held in conjunction with the traditional Duanwu (Dumpling) Festival, this vibrant event is jointly organised by Chinese Swimming Club Penang and the Penang Dragon Boat Association, bringing together athletes, families, tourists, and the local community for a day filled with thrilling races, cultural celebrations, and festive activities.
The public is invited to witness the adrenaline-pumping dragon boat races featuring both 22-crew and 12-crew categories, alongside an exciting Stand-Up Paddling competition. Spectators can expect an energetic atmosphere as teams from various clubs and organisations compete in a showcase of teamwork, endurance, and sportsmanship.
Beyond the water sports action, the festival also offers a wide range of family-friendly cultural activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy, including:

* DIY Xiang Bao Station
* Dinner and Live Music Performances
The festival aims to celebrate the rich heritage of the Duanwu Festival while promoting community engagement, cultural appreciation, healthy lifestyles, and sports tourism in Penang.
