PENANGITES are invited to attend the upcoming Penang DAP Hari Raya open house, scheduled for April 13 (Saturday).
Hosted by the Penang Democratic Action Party (DAP), the event welcomes the public from 12pm to 2.30pm at SJK(C) Shang Wu in Air Itam.
Organising chairman Joseph Ng Soon Siang, who is also the Air Itam assemblyman, anticipates about 1,500 attendees, especially from nearby Air Itam residents.
“DAP state and national leaders, along with representatives from other parties in the unity government, namely PKR, Amanah and Barisan Nasional (BN), will attend the event and deliver speeches.
“We also invite various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the state to join us.
“We welcome everyone, regardless of race and religion, will come to the Penang DAP Hari Raya open house, where an array of food and beverages will be provided,” he told a media conference at Wisma DAP in Rangoon Road today.
Also present were Penang DAP secretary Lim Hui Ying, who is also the Deputy Finance Minister, and Penang DAP organising secretary Jason H’ng Mooi Lye, who is also the state Local Government, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman.
