QATAR Airways resumed its daily direct flight between Penang and Doha (via Phuket) today (Oct 29).

The Boeing 777 aircraft received a warm welcome at the Penang International Airport (PIA) when it arrived at 5.35pm, ahead of its scheduled arrival at 6.20pm.

It was greeted with a water cannon salute, and the passengers were treated to a traditional kompang performance after they alighted from the aircraft.
