PENANG is proud that it has been chosen by QNET to hold its V-Malaysia Convention for the eighth consecutive year, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

QNET, a prominent Asian direct selling company as well as a subsidiary of QI Group, is celebrating its 21st anniversary. Its key regional markets are in Midddle East, Central Asia, Africa, the Indian sub-continent and Asean countries.

Some 12,000 QNET’s distributors from over 40 countries have gathered in Penang for the five-day convention, beginning today.

“I share the pride and joy that my people feel knowing that every year for the past decade, we host this diverse group of dreamers, entrepreneurs and leaders as they come together to get inspired, learn and reaffirm their commitment to leadership and success,” Chow said in his speech at the gala night at SPICE Arena tonight.

“Penang, in many aspects, is an entrepreneurial state, well known for its entrepreneurial spirit and for having created entrepreneurs for many generations in this country.

“This year’s theme – Lead to Inspire, Inspire to Lead – is not only relevant in today’s world which needs leaders who truly inspire kindness and greatness from others but also inspire others to rise and be leaders themselves.

“As I look around me tonight, I can see that QNET and The V have an abundance of these people – leaders determined to make a difference in the world.”

Kuna, who thanked the state government for their support, called on QNET members to persevere as they go through a series of training programmes and motivational speeches.

“You are here for one purpose – your financial future. Never listen to the negativity of people if you want to attain success,” he said in his speech.
