THE Penang government recognises outstanding and deserving Malaysians and helps them to pursue their undergraduate studies in Malaysia.

The Penang Future Foundation (PFF), one of the state’s initiatives to promote Penang as a talent hub, has awarded 408 scholarships from 2015 to 2018.

The scholarships would amount to approximately RM23.3 million if all recipients successfully graduate on time.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the Foundation was set up to assist outstanding students in their tertiary studies in local public and private universities.

“PFF provides fruitful opportunities for our future Malaysian leaders.

“We hope to attract, build and retain human talent in Penang. We intend to engage industry players and form strategic partnerships,” he told a press conference today.

Application for the PFF 2019 scholarship programme will be open from May 31 to June 20.
