A 21-YEAR-OLD Penang entrepreneur has officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) as the country’s youngest clothing brand owner, after turning his passion for fitness and youth empowerment into a successful fashion enterprise.
Kaviiamuthan Ragu Raman, from Taman Bagan Baru, Butterworth, was certified by MBOR on 19 June 2026 for his achievement in establishing and operating his unisex apparel line, Kozzy Aesthetics, which he launched shortly after completing his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations at age 17.
Explaining his motivation, Kaviiamuthan said he noticed many teenagers struggling with a lack of direction and wanted to use his platform to encourage positive lifestyle habits, fitness, and discipline.
“I saw many young people around my age who lacked direction, and I wanted to influence them towards a better lifestyle,” Kaviiamuthan said.
“Inspired by international fitness influencer Ben Francis, who built Gymshark around fitness culture, I wanted to create a brand that changes people’s mindset through fitness and self-improvement.”

Starting with an initial venture alongside close partners, Kaviiamuthan built the brand independently, overseeing various aspects of the business, including design concept selection, material sourcing, and production, digital content creation and financial management.
By age 19, he had formally registered the business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) as sales grew.
Kozzy Aesthetics offers a range of unisex fitness and lifestyle apparel priced affordably below RM100 per piece. The brand has recently recorded significant sales growth, particularly through live interactive shopping platforms and pop-up events.
“During a recent pop-up booth, I expected to sell around 50 shirts, but we ended up selling over 200 pieces. Demand exceeded our expectations,” he said.
“We have also expanded our sales presence through TikTok Live, which allows us to engage directly with customers nationwide.”

Apart from running his apparel business, Kaviiamuthan holds a Diploma in IT and works in gym management as a personal trainer. Demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning, he is set to begin pursuing a part-time degree at Wawasan Open University in Seberang Jaya.
Looking ahead, Kaviiamuthan aims to scale Kozzy Aesthetics into a broader franchise model and expand its retail presence.
Offering advice to young aspiring entrepreneurs, Kaviiamuthan emphasised the importance of self-discipline, family values, and personal growth.
“Youth shouldn’t be lazy. Respect your parents and remain loyal to your passion,” he advised. “What you consume daily — the content you watch, the food you eat, and the habits you build — defines who you become.”

He expressed deep gratitude to Bagan Dalam assemblyman Kumaran Krishnan for serving as a constant pillar of support throughout his entrepreneurial journey. He also expressed his appreciation to his parents, siblings, and friends, crediting their continued encouragement as a key driver of his record-breaking achievement.
