THE Penang government is monitoring the Covid-19 situation in the state closely and will decide accordingly whether the scheduled Penang Legislative Assembly sitting can be held.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the Standing Orders only allow physical meeting.
“We have to be realistic and monitor the situation closely. The necessary arrangements are in progress,” he said when asked by a journalist about the upcoming Penang Legislative Assembly sitting after his visit to the Penang Covid-19 mass screening (PSC-19) in Komtar today.
The sitting is scheduled to be held on Aug 30.
