RESIDENTS of four state constituencies can spend time with their families by taking part in the online ‘Our Family Day’ event.
Jointly organised by the Women and Family Development Committees of Pengkalan Kota, Komtar, Sungai Pinang and Batu Lancang, the event will consists of several online programmes such as Easy Baking With My Family, It is a Magic Cube – Family Handicraft, Hanky Teddy Family – Family Handicraft, Happy Skin Happy Life, Family Tik Tok Competition, Love our family, Stop Domestic Violence – Health Talk and Effective parenting: Positive parenting – Talk.
The online event will be held on June 28.
Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim urged those interested to register early.
“Those who have registered can choose the location to collect their Family Day Kit. They will be added into a WhatsApp group for more updates.
“The registration fee is RM20 per family. Each family will receive vouchers and goodies,” Lim told a press conference at her service centre in Jalan Ahmad Nor this morning.
She said that participants for the Family Tik Tok Competition stand to win attractive cash vouchers.
The first prize winner will take home a RM300 cash voucher while the runner-up will win a RM200 cash voucher. The third prize winner will bag a RM100 cash voucher.
There are also six consolation prizes of RM50 cash voucher each. The most creative entry will win a RM100 cash voucher.
Participants can start shooting their 60-second video from June 11 (tomorrow) onwards. The deadline for submission is June 30.

The results of the competition will be announced on July 10.
Also present were Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Daniel Gooi, Penang Women’s Development Corporation chief executive officer Ong Bee Leng as well as JPWK representatives from Komtar and Batu Lancang.
