PULAU TIKUS assemblyman Chris Lee and Bukit Bendera MP Wong Hon Wai teamed up to sponsor water heaters for the Penang Hospital.
Lee today presented a total of four water heaters to the hospital’s deputy director (management) Wong Cheng Yew.
According to Midlands Berjaya Village Community Management Council (MPKK) chairman Rachel Tan, the water heaters were meant for the hospital staff especially the on-call doctors who work the night shift.
Tan said one of the water heaters was sponsored by Wong.
“The installation cost will be also borne by the assemblyman and MP.
“The total cost of the water heaters and the installation is RM10,000,” said Tan who oversees the sponsorship programme.
Meanwhile, Wong thanked the state government for being thoughtful of their staff.
