THE Teluk Bahang constituency has the potential to be developed as a hub for esports, which is now gaining traction among the youths ever since the Covid-19 pandemic started, according to Balik Pulau MP Datuk Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik.

In promoting the trendy esports among the youths nowadays, Muhammad Bakhtiar pointed out that the constituency could become a place to support the development of gaming experience.

“It is our hope to see our youths, especially in the constituency, involved in a healthy programme rather than being dragged into any unhealthy activities.

“They can be easily swayed by peers’ negative influence, which will affect their upbringing.

“However, through this esports initiative, the youths can at least spend their leisure time beneficially.
