Temple to hold singing competition to raise funds

FOR the first time, the Thean Seng Keong Temple at Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway is organising a singing competition on May 21.

Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Daniel Gooi said the temple’s aim of holding the event was to raise funds for the temple.

“The contributions can be used to repair the temple and hold other related activities,” he said at a press conference at the temple yesterday (March 15).

Gooi said the event would take place at Lot 33 Prangin Mall.

“A total of RM10,300 cash prizes are up for grabs as the event is open to 30 participants nationwide,” he said.

The top three winners will receive RM5,000, RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively.

The registration fee is RM200 per person on a first come first served basis.
