“It takes 1,098 polygon cubes to build the replica. We choose polygon cubes to make it look more futuristic and unique.

“And we choose tiger as the replica in view of the Year of the Tiger according to the Lunar calendar.

“Meanwhile, the gold colour represents wealth and prosperity.

“All the idea comes from the internet as our company is not specialised in sculpture artworks. We are more into manufacturing.

“Nevertheless, we still took the challenge and in the end, we successfully managed to build the replica,” he said.

Loh thanked the state government and GB Plas Sdn Bhd for their continuous support.

“GB Plas has sponsored RM50,000 to fund this project and we are thankful for that.

“We are very happy with the award. It is a great honour for us to receive such recognition from MBR.

“We know it’s not easy to get this award. Thus, on behalf of the Ledanim Sdn Bhd, I would like to thank every party that makes all of this possible.

“Jawi assemblyman Jason H’ng Mooi Lye will help us to choose a proper place to display the tiger replica for the public to see it.

“Previously, the tiger replica has been displayed on the divider in Bukit Panchor along the trunk road into the Nibong Tebal town and we hope it will continue to be displayed at the same place,” Loh added.

Also present were state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin, H’ng and GB Plas managing director Gooi Chin Hooi.

Chow congratulated Loh and his company for the meaningful achievement.

Chow also did not miss an opportunity to take a closer look at the tiger replica.

“Penang is not only rich in artistic and cultural values, but also talented artists who have made the state proud with their global achievements.

“I am very touched and impressed by Loh’s creativity and hard work to produce the tiger replica although he is not from the arts background.

“And he has spent about a month to perfect this unique replica that deserves to be proud of.

“I would also like to thank GB Plas Sdn Bhd for sponsoring the replica project.

“It is hoped that the MBR award today will inject the spirit and creativity of our local young talents into the field of arts,” he said.
