CHIEF Minister Chow Kon Yeow is confident that the current Pakatan Harapan-led Federal Government will deliver results that will benefit the country and its people.

He said it was important for PH to improve the country’s economy and the people’s well-being after the country was previously governed by the Perikatan Nasional administration.

“We have one term to prove ourselves, and during this period, we will focus on rebuilding Malaysia and improving areas that the country needs attention the most.

“We have been given the mandate by the people, and it is important that we deliver results that matter.

“We promise to continue with our fight to retain this Government and focus on stabilising the country,” Chow said during his speech at the Penang DAP Chinese New Year open house at SJKC Shang Wu in George Town today.

Thousands of guests thronged the school hall earlier and they were served a variety of local delights.

The guests of honour, along with the visitors, were also entertained by a string of traditional Chinese performances.

Among those present were national DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng, veteran DAP member Lim Kit Siang, Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr P. Ramasamy, Deputy Finance Minister II and Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim and Deputy Education Minister and Tanjong MP Lim Hui Ying.
