BUSINESS operators and the public are urged to be extra vigilant by taking preventive measures when their business activities resume.

Penang Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin called everyone to abide by the measures imposed, including personal hygiene and social distancing.

“Please reduce travelling outdoors and stay at home if possible.

“The conditional movement control order (CMCO) is still enforced and the country remains on high alert for Covid-19.

“The battle against the virus is still ongoing,” he said in a statement.

This comes after the state has partially reopened certain businesses and the traffic flow has increased.

Yeoh advised the people not to let their guard down in adhering to the preventive measures.

“It is important to check body temperature, control crowd numbers, practise social distancing, wear face masks and wash hands frequently to prevent the virus from spreading,” he said.
