GIANT Christmas trees, fairy lights, presents, snowflakes, and reindeers are taking centre stage in major shopping malls in Penang.
Despite a challenging 2021, these shopping malls continue to keep the Christmas mood alive with colourful decorations and festive songs.

It is truly ‘winter wonderland’ in Gurney Plaza where shoppers get to enjoy exciting activities at the shopping mall’s Centre Atrium during this festive period. Gurney Plaza welcomes its shoppers to experience its indoor snowfall and be entertained by its live band every weekend. Not forgetting its 28ft-tall Christmas tree. The tree is tastefully decorated with white and black ornaments, including a silhouette cut out of the renowned German fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
Over at Sunway Carnival Mall, the mall urged shoppers to connect with their loved ones and share kindness through its campaign ‘Together for Good’ from Nov 19 to Jan 2, 2022.
The mall’s giant red Christmas tree was rather unique. Big present boxes were piled up to form the giant Christmas tree.
A giant Christmas tree was also spotted at 1st Avenue Mall, with the word ‘Merry Christmas’ isolated on the foreground.
