THANKS to a group of good Samaritans and kind donors, a total of RM44,199 has been raised for the past one week to help Naam Nursing Home in Pinhorn Road, Penang, build a new roof as well as to upgrade its facilities.
This is to ensure that the 33 people, aged between 39 and 98, can stay comfortably in the nursing home.
Batu Lanchang assemblyman Ong Ah Teong thanked the contributors for their generosity to lend a helping hand.
“I appreciate their noble effort in helping out the Naam Nursing Home.
“A sum of RM25,000 from the collections will be used to replace the new roof, which is expected to be completed in a few days’ time.
“The balance will be utilised for other facilities such as for ceiling repairs.
“It will be undertaken by CF Roofing Sdn Bhd,” he said after visiting the nursing home today.
In addition, Ong also witnessed the handover of RM6,000 cheque by Ooi Beng Soon, on behalf of 981128 group to the nursing home’s owner V. Selvarani.
Also present was CF Roofing Sdn Bhd director Chow Zi Fong.
