EVERY Malaysian, irrespective of race, religion and political affiliation, should not fall for any racial and religious issues played up by certain parties.

Batu Kawan MP Kasthuriraani Patto said it was the responsibility of every person to ensure racial and religious harmony in the nation.

“We should put aside our differences and refrain ourselves from any acts of provocation and violence. Do not let them tear us apart.

“Because if we fail to do that, it might end in conflict and chaos.

“We should remember that to achieve peace and harmony in the country, tolerance and mutual respect among each other are the key to that. Only by that, we can succeed as a nation.

“After all, united we stand, divided we fall,” Kasthuriraani said in her speech before taking part in the launching of the tanglung lights at Chai Leng Park in Prai last night.
