THE Magnificent Hot Air Balloon is coming to Bukit Mertajam and everyone is welcome to join the Macam Yes Family Day Programme to experience the enchanting fun!

The Macam Yes Family Day Programme is jointly organised by the office of Berapit assemblyman Heng Lee Lee, JPWK of Berapit, and the MPKK Taman Tenang Committee. It will take place on June 18th (Sunday) from 8am to 1pm, at St. Anne’s Hall in Bukit Mertajam.

During the event, a series of exciting activities awaits everyone, including 20 thoughtfully designed children’s games, health check-ups, uniform displays, handmade crafts, food trucks, and more. It promises to be a fulfilling and joyful day for you and your children.

The highlight of the event is the display of the spectacular hot air balloon. It can soar up to 50 feet in the air and this experience will create precious memories for you, your family, and friends!

As the number of passengers is limited, there will be a lucky draw on-site to win a chance to ride the hot air balloon. Even though if you don’t win the ride, you can still admire the hot air balloon up close and capture beautiful moments.

“Hot air balloons symbolise children’s dreams and imagination, sparking their curiosity and desire to explore the unknown world.

“In the digital era, children tend to rely heavily on smartphones and electronic devices, which pose challenges to parent-child relationships. The goal of the Macam Yes Family Day Programme is to encourage parents and children to participate together in various fun and interactive activities, encouraging closer parent-child bonds,” Heng told a press conference recently.

To have a closer view of the hot air balloons, visitors can visit the open space in front of St Anne’s Hall from 7am to 10am tomorrow (June 17) and also on the day of the event (Sunday, June 18) to witness the breathtaking sight as the hot air balloons gently ascend.

For the convenience of drivers, parking spaces are available behind St Anne’s Church, accommodating approximately 200 cars. The Google map link is https://goo.gl/maps/fZs1vg7ahTvyYhHy6. There will also be staff on-site to provide guidance and directions.

In addition, shuttle buses will be provided from Summit, allowing visitors to park their vehicles at the parking lot of Summit free of charge from 7am to 1pm on June 18th.

The shuttle bus will depart from the main entrance of Summit at 7am, heading towards St Anne’s Hall, and return from St Anne’s Hall at 7.15am back to Summit. Buses will operate every 30 minutes. There will also be tour guides on the bus introducing special attractions in BM, so visitors who are unfamiliar with the area need not worry about getting lost and can fully enjoy the games.
