AFTER being posted to Malaysia as Belgium ambassador for about a year, Pascal H. Gregoire took the opportunity to familiarise himself and paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at the latter’s office in Komtar today.
Accompanying Gregoire was Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) branch chairman Michel van Crombrugge.
They talked about history, tourism, transport and trade ties between Malaysia and Belgium.
At the end of the visit, Gregoire presented some Belgian chocolates and CDs of Malay folk songs adapted by a Belgian professor to Chow while Chow reciprocated by presenting a book, titled ‘Over Penang’, with drone photographs of Penang to Gregoire.
