THE Dutch Ambassador to Malaysia this evening paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at Komtar.

Accompanying the Ambassador Karin Mossenlechaer was Head of Economic Affairs, Fiona Burger.

Offering her congratulations to Chow for his appointment as Penang Chief Minister, she also touched on discussions of the bilateral ties between The Netherlands and Penang.

“We hope we can brainstorm to see potential areas of co-operation,” Karin told the Chief Minister.

In reply, Chow briefed the ambassador on the status of the Penang Transport Master Plan.

“Hopefully both sides will have the opportunity to discuss further on our bilateral ties and potential cooperation between us,” noted Chow.

“I look forward to these positive steps and investment cooperation between us,” he added.
