THREE students from the Air Putih constituency received a boost ahead of entering university in September when they were each presented with a cheque for RM1,000 by the constituency’s assemblyman, Lim Guan Eng.
The recipients are Ng Zhi Qi, Sabrina Ong Chin Hui and Joseph Koay Xuan Yang, all aged 20.
Lim, who is also a Bagan Member of Parliament, donated RM10,000 from his parliamentary allocation to Pertubuhan Perayaan Lu Yan Sheng Hui (Yu Lan Sheng Hui Festival Association) in the Choong Nam area.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the association was Khoo Chuan Hin, a committee member of the association.
Also present at the presentation ceremony were Penang Island City Council councillor D. Dayalan and MPKK Taman Reservoir chairman Khaw Sim Choi.
