A LOCAL tuition centre, called CS Tuition Centre here in Penang, was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for achieving an astounding 3,345 ‘A’s in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination in 2022 – the most ‘A’s obtained by a tuition centre.

Having started its journey in 2011, the tuition centre has garnered continuous support from parents and students leading to its growth with three branches in the state.

To commemorate this exceptional feat, a special appreciation lunch for the students and parents was held at the Olive Tree Hotel today. It was graced by caretaker Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

In his speech, Chow said CS Tuition’s achievement serves as an exemplary model for other educational institutions to emulate, emphasising that education knows no boundaries.

“I am delighted to witness CS Tuition’s commitment to fulfilling their promise and mission of providing the best education to students while embracing change and innovation in their respective fields.

“In Penang, education holds a special place in our hearts.

“It is the foundation upon which we build a better future for our state and our nation.

“I would like to acknowledge the support and dedication of parents and tutors who have played an integral role in the success of these students.

“Your guidance, encouragement and sacrifices have been instrumental in shaping these young individuals into achievers,” Chow said in his speech during the appreciation lunch earlier today.

Furthermore, he highlighted Penang’s emphasis on the importance of education, allocating millions of ringgit for human capital development initiatives over the years.

“We have channelled our contributions through practical training sessions at various Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) centres in the state, namely Tech Dome Penang, Penang Science Cluster and Penang Math Platform.”

Also present during the event was CS Tuition director Wong Chee Siang.
